Linux System Engineer (m/ž)

Overview of tasks:

• Planning and implementation of internal IT projects
  
• Ensuring the proper functioning and reliability of IT infrastructure (servers, clients, network, VPN, e-mail accounts, firewall)
• Installation, maintenance and service of operating systems
• Installation and maintenance of database systems
• System health monitoring
• Creation and supervision of technical documentation

We are looking for:

• Completed studies or higher education in IT (IT specialist, computer scientist) or extensive knowledge in the field of IT
  
• Excellent knowledge of Windows and Linux
• Extensive experience and knowledge in management of high availability UNIX-servers
• Good knowledge of database and web servers (Apacha, Nginx, MySQL, MariaDB)
• Experience with virtualization and container technologies (VMWare, Docker, Vagrant)
• Experience with configuration management systems like Salt or Ansible
• Experience with scripting (Bash, Perl, Python)
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written), German is a benefit
• Professional approach to work and maintaining high quality standard
• Benefitial knowledge: Container Orchestration (Kubernetes)
