One of Emerson Croft’s partner companies, a stealth-mode startup working on products aimed at positive social impact, is looking for a financial strategist to join its management team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring a cash flow that fits with the company’s long-term goals. You’ll develop revenue-raising strategies, work closely with investors, perform risk assessments, and control the allocation of capital resources. The ideal candidate has experience with tax regulations and the Silicon Valley investment system, and has held a management role before.

This company has grown big enough to last, yet it’s still small enough that its processes haven’t calcified. This role demands an in-depth knowledge of financial planning, along with the creativity to apply old concepts in new ways. If you’ve built and adapted a long-term financial plan for at least one company with a wide base of end-users, you could excel here.

The team’s culture is truly international, and offers the most seasoned managers the chance to learn new things. Apply now and find out what heights you can reach here.

You will:

  • Own financial planning for the entire company
  • Control the company’s capital structure and resource allocations
  • Serve as a member of the management team, lending your voice to key decisions and applying your knowledge to help formulate long-term plans
  • Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign offices
  • Ensure that the organization’s current activity matches its available cash flow
  • Construct and monitor financial control systems
  • Manage investor relationships
  • Develop and implement fundraising plans
  • Oversee the company’s tax filings
  • Analyze liabilities, investments, and assets to minimize risk
  • Report risk issues to the CEO and board of directors
  • Ensure compliance with national and state laws, along with internal company policies

  • Work experience as Financial Manager, Finance Officer, or equivalent role
  • Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficiency with MS Office and financial management software
  • Proven ability to analyze numerical data
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Ability to make decisions in time-sensitive situations

Nice to haves:

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field; a Master’s is even better
  • CMA certification
  • Knowledge of financial laws
  • Experience working at an international company
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Experience working remotely
