JOB SUMMARY

  • To lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the assigned area to ensure brand service standards are followed. He/she Directs and works with employees to ensure property, guestrooms, public space and employee areas are clean and well maintained at all times. Completes inspections and holds people accountable for corrective action. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper regarding all housekeeping and laundry activities


CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset. Minimum two years’ work experience in similar position or previous leadership experience preferably with international hotel chain. Computer literate. Knowledge of Opera PMS will be considered as an advantage. Solid written and verbal English and Bosnian communication skills. Well organized and creative candidate with excellent interpersonal skills and, problem solving abilities with a “passion for perfection”. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team, remaining calm and courteous at all times.


CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Housekeeping Operations

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the assigned area to ensure brand service standards are followed.
  • Handle Guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying the proper areas
  • Actively participate in daily briefing, daily warm up and department meetings
  • Ensure Room Attendants are informed daily about priorities in their section
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Other duties as assigned


Physical Aspects of the Position: (include but are not limited to the following)

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

  • Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints.
  • Strive to improve service performance.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
